GJ-101 submerged arc welding flux is a high-alkalinity sintered flux, specially designed for industrial welding applications to provide efficient and high-quality welding results. This fluoride-based flux has excellent slag removal performance, low impurity content (such as phosphorus and sulfur), and offers superior mechanical properties for carbon steel, low-alloy steel, and high-strength structural components. It is suitable for single-layer and multi-layer submerged arc welding (SAW), ensuring stable arc combustion, a beautiful weld appearance, and improving production efficiency in the manufacturing of pressure vessels, pipelines, and heavy machinery.
SJ-101 is a sintered fluorine-alkali flux with an alkalinity index of approximately 1.8, suitable for both AC and DC welding operations. It has a gray granular appearance, with a particle size range of 10-60 mesh (2.0-0.28mm), making it easy to handle and store. This flux complies with industry standards such as AWS A5.17 and EN760, and is typically used in conjunction with welding wires like EM12, EM12K, or EH14 to achieve optimal welding results.
It can be applied to different we'lding wires and is fit for welding of low-carbon steel and low alloy steel. Moreover, it can b e used for fast welding of pipeline steel and for welding of thick waffstructures of different high-tensile steel.
Main Features
• High alkalinity and low impurities: Ensure that the weld metal has excellent toughness and crack resistance, with extremely low phosphorus (P) and sulfur (S) contents, achieving a cleaner welding effect.
• Easy removal of molten slag: The formed molten slag is easy to peel off, reducing post-weld cleaning time and improving the efficiency of high-yield production lines.
• Stable arc and weld formation: Maintain a stable arc during multi-layer welding, resulting in a beautiful weld appearance and reliable structure.
• Wide application: Suitable for welding high-strength low-alloy steel (HSLA), quenched and tempered steel, and general structures. It is commonly used in industries such as shipbuilding, bridge construction, and oil and gas pipelines.
• Packaging and storage: Usually supplied in 25kg bags. It is recommended to store in a dry environment to maintain the quality of the flux.
1.The oil soil, moisture, iron rust and other foreign substances must be removed from the welding joint.
2.It is better to use direct arrrent.
3. The welding flux must be baked under 300-350℃ for 2 hours.
